Welcome to The Road Less Traveled Counseling Center. We strive to be a Safe & Inclusive Space for all, whether you are here because you are seeking therapy, consultation as a mental health practitioner, or training in EMDR therapy. The Road Less Traveled is the road of courageously leaning in with curiosity and love to the places within ourselves that hold pain, longing, or tenderness so that true healing can occur and so we may pursue our most authentic and purposeful life.  It is also the road of lifelong learning and growing. It is the intentional pursuit of opening our eyes, of taking ownership of our lives, of being accountable for our actions and responsibilities, and of fully honoring the life energy within that guides us to our truest self.

Though our instinct may be to turn away from what hurts, is scary, or feels overwhelming, if we avoid or neglect those places that need healing, we inadvertently continue to cause pain and inflict injury to ourselves and others. We repeat the cycle of pain and trauma.
